Exquisite Savannah, Georgia Color Proof Type

Savannah, GA- Central Rail Road and Banking Company of Georgia $10 18__ GA-270 G50a W-910-010-G090 Proof PMG Choice Uncirculated 63.
A stunning Proof, from an exemplary later Georgia series and a great rarity. The deep black designs are classics from the imprint and exquisite, but melded together with the rich red-orange protector devices makes this one of the finest looking types from the state. An India paper Proof by the National Bank Note Co. on its original card. Standing Liberty at the left. The wide-winged Bald Eagle prominent at the top (used on several well-known Obsolete and period Federal Interest Bearing notes). The bank founded in 1833 and actually survived the Civil War. There are four POC as made. The color is very bold and vibrant; well margined all around. Only some light toning at the lower right separates this from a Gem grade. One of few Georgia Proof from this imprint we are aware of.
