Fr. 173 $100 1880 Legal Tender PMG Very Fine 20.A very scarce Friedberg number with just ten pieces recorded in the Track & Price census with nothing with claims to the Very Fine grade having been publicly offered in over a dozen years. This example, which last crossed the auction block in our 2012 Dallas ANA session, maintains attractive color for the grade although it has had some repairs and a small area of discoloration on the back.
