Description
Virginia May 3, 1779 $100 PMG Very Fine 30.The $100 is the highest denomination of the 1779 issue and it is also denominated as £30 in Roman numerals. PMG has graded a paltry three examples at this grade level and none higher. The larger sized notes of this issue were printed on soft paper which is extremely prone to wear. This accounts for the minor repairs mentioned on the back label. Also, the annotations are penciled collector notations on the back.
