Fr. 40* $1 1923 Legal Tender PCGS Superb Gem New 67PPQ.Only two examples have been graded at this level by PCGS, with none having reached this peak at PMG. We sold the other 67 Fr. 40 star for just under $8,000 at FUN last year, commenting on how close to perfection that piece was. This note is its virtual twin, and will likely fetch the same figure or more before the hammer falls tonight.
