Fr. 16 $1 1862 Legal Tender Superb Gem New. Broad even margins, beautifully bright colors and great paper originality are all immediately apparent on this lovely example of our Nation's first $1 bill. This is a common note in most grades but is seldom available as a real gem. The red seal color on this note is incredibly bright which is rather unusual for this type.
