Fr. 1 $5 1861 Demand Note PMG Very Fine 30 Net.
A lightly circulated Demand Note which is far nicer than most we've seen. PMG has chosen to assign a net grade for a miniscule "internal repair" that apparently only they see, as we have looked repeatedly and failed to see any repair in the area where it supposedly exists. This note has been graded as Extremely Fine on three separate occasions over fifteen years by two auction companies and one of the most respected dealers in the business. We'll let our bidders determine who is correct here, as we see nothing to change our opinion of this note's real grade.
