Knoxville, TN - $1 Original Fr. 380 The First NB Ch. # 391We sold this piece nearly two years ago, commenting "A wonderful new discovery from a prohibitively rare Tennessee bank which issued First Charter Originals only before liquidating in 1872. By 1910, a minuscule $591 was outstanding. Only one note is listed in the census, with that piece, which grades 'Fair,' never having been available to collectors at public sale. This ace has a few minor repairs, including a rebuilt corner, but is actually quite decent in appearance and easily merits its PCGS assigned grade of Apparent Fine 12." The note realized $9,200 in that offering, and should bring no less tonight.
