Description

North Carolina April 2, 1776 $2 Fox PCGS Apparent Very Fine 30.
The comments explaining the apparent grade include splits, tears, restorations, lower right corner replaced and design redrawn. The note appears to have been folded at center and pinned at some point. This example with the fox vignette does retain appeal. There are only two varieties of this denomination, with the other being a deer. The initials of the printer, Gabriel Lewyn, are seen at the bottom left corner.
