The Finer of Two Known Arkansas $20 Brown Backs
Waldron, AR - $20 1882 Brown Back Fr. 504 The First NB Ch. # (S)5849This is not only an extremely rare note from a just plain rare bank, but a prohibitively rare type and denomination from this state, as the census reveals only two $20 Brown Backs extant from all banks in Arkansas combined. This is considerably the nicer of the pair as well, with this piece never having previously been available to the numismatic community at public sale. Pen signed PMG graded Choice Fine 15, one of the most significant rarities in this outstanding collection.
