These are closed door affairs where one has to be in the industry or a recognized member of the numismatic press in order to attend. Therefore the number of attendees is small. At these conferences, both government and private industry note printing authorities exhibit and inform about their skills, capabilities, and technologies, plus discuss the emerging trends in the bank note industry. We are fortunate that our consignor has decided to auction a few of these informational packets in order for us to get a peek into this hush-hush world of bank note printers. These packets contain fantasy "notes" that will have the printer's latest security features. The trifold in this lot contains a beautiful Crane John F. Kennedy "high security note" that is very popular as a "what if" design. Also included in this lot is an oversized and colorful uniface Thomas de La Rue advertising note. This is a great duo to represent the genre. Serious paper money collectors often will gravitate toward this type of collateral material during their collecting lifetime. Gem Crisp Uncirculated.
