Michael Moczalla joined the Heritage team in April 2005. His interest in coins began after finding two almost 40 year old Lincoln cents in change in the early 70s. His passion for numismatics continued to grow after having a chance to look at his paternal grandmother's coin and currency collection. In the early 90s he changed his focus to US currency after his wife Debra discovered a foldover error note. In early 2002, he opened MGM Currency and Coins in Vernon Hills, IL which boasted the largest currency inventory at the time in Lake County, IL. He is a member of ANA, CSNS, FUN, ILNA, SPMC and has served on the board of PCDA for over ten years where he currently serves as treasurer. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, travel, and fishing.
