Japan Bank of Japan 1000 Yen ND (1945) Pick 45a PCGS Extremely Fine 40.
A visually appealing high denomination, this note is from the short-lived 1945 Post-Surrender Issue. Introduced on August 17, 1945, just days after Japan's surrender during World War II, this series only circulated seven months before being withdrawn on February 3, 1946. This larger sized note features the portrait of legendary prince, Yamato Takeru, along with a beautiful vignette of the Takebe Shrine in Otsu, Shiga. A very nice representation for this tough note.
