Rare Bank of Japan 10 Yen Convertible Silver Note

Japan Bank of Japan 10 Yen Convertible Silver Note (1885) Pick 24
The Dr. Norman Jacobs Collection of the coins and banknotes of Japan and Korea included a slightly higher graded example, a PMG Very Fine 35, that sold for $9,200 in the Heritage World Coin September 2011 Long Beach auction. We expect this rare and desirable note will bring a strong result as well, as advanced collectors of Japanese material will no doubt be vying for this example. Daikoku, depicted at right, is the God of Earth, Agriculture, Rice, Farmers, the Kitchen, and Wealth. PMG Very Fine 25 Net, with the very small portion that is missing at the lower right corner resulting in the net grade.
