The famed 10 Yuan of 1953 was the highest denomination of this short series. The vast monetary system in China experienced rampant inflation beginning in the late 1930s and it extended until about 1950. This banknote series was created to bring denominations to a manageable level. This 10 Yuan is large and imposing, and it represented a large sum of money at the time. Although this note is dated 1953, it was not issued until 1957 and it was withdrawn beginning in 1964. As such, this is a scarce type in any grade, with Uncirculated examples carrying a substantial premium. This lot consists of three consecutive serial numbered examples. Stains are lightened and a minor repair has been noted on one example but that does not negate the collectibility of these amazing notes. (Total: 3 notes)

1953年中國人民銀行拾圓（第二版人民幣），三張連號。PMG Uncirculated 62；Choice Uncirculated 63（2張）。
第二版人民幣鈔票系列發行時間短暫，當中1953年的拾圓為最高面額，聲名之遠播無人不曉。中國龐雜的貨幣制度自1930年代末起便面臨驚人的通漲，直至1950年左右才告終止。這個發行系列是為把貨幣面額降回合理水平而問世。當中又以拾圓最為矚目，幅面巨大，在當時代表著可觀的購買力。雖然票面上的日期為1953年，但於1957才真正發行，於1964年初便被收回。故此，這款拾圓不論評分，在今天都是一大珍寶，具備未流通品相的例子更是超然逸品。此項拍品包含三張連號珍鈔，令人眼前一亮，其收藏價值不言而喻。
