    Description

    Qing Dynasty 50 Taels

China Empire Qing Dynasty Board of Revenue 50 Taels Year 5 (1858) Pick A13c
The highest denomination of the Taels issue. Though this note represented an extraordinary amount of purchasing power at the time and was not expected to be commonly circulated, the amount of teller's marks on the back indicates that this example saw great use between banks and cash houses. A wonderful opportunity for the researcher. PCGS Apparent Fine 12, minor internal tears.
