    Description

Rarely Seen Australian 10 Pounds from 1918

Australia Commonwealth of Australia 10 Pounds ND (1918) Pick 6b R52 PMG Very Fine 25.
Deep blue, yellow and green hues are seen on this handsome, high denomination type. Commonwealth of Australia issues from around the era of the First World War are rarely seen today, as they have been supplemented by countless series before the Pound was replaced by the Dollar in the late 1960s. The second of two signature varieties is present: C.J. Cerutty and J.R. Collins. This note presents in circulated Very Fine condition with all details clearly visible. This example is the single finest graded Pick 6b in the PMG Population Report, of only four notes graded. This piece represents a desirable rarity that is missing from many collections.

    Estimate: $10,000 - up.
