    Description

Sole Example in PMG Census and Near Superb Unissued 1908 Netherlands Indies 25 Gulden

Netherlands Indies De Javasche Bank 25 Gulden 31.6.1908 Pick Unlisted PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ.
The second denomination for this unreleased issue which would make a nice pair with the 100 Gulden that follows. The printing is sharp and the margins are problem free. The overall design is fairly reminiscent of the framework on the prior 1876 issues. No stamps or serial numbers are seen on this always popular design featuring the most notable Governor-General of the Dutch East Indies and founder of Batavia, Jan Pieterszoon Coen. This is the only example in the PMG census.
