Iraq Government of Iraq 100 Dinars L.1931 (1936) Pick
12a.King Ghazi is featured on this grandly sized note from the short-lived Second Series. An attractive, low A007,394 serial number is seen. This highest denomination was intended largely for transfers, as indicated by the gap between the 10 Dinar and 100 Dinar values. Thus as most notes were held by financial institutions, a larger proportion was exchanged for new designs, leaving extant an example as pretty as this very elusive note. Excellent bright colors are seen throughout. PCGS Very Fine 30, with restorations.
