    Description

Sole PMG Graded 1910 Ten Rupees Specimen

French India Banque de l'Indochine Ten Rupees 1910 Pick 2s Specimen.
The issue city of Pondichery is seen on this early note designed and printed in France. The Neptune vignette seen on many other Banque de l'Indo-Chine issues of this period is seen to the left, in excellent detail. Interestingly, the back of the note is localized, with a repeating "10 Roupies" design. This is the sole example of this type in the PMG Census, and we do not recall having seen another in well more than a decade, even two. PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ.
