Highest Grade 19th Century Egyptian Rarity

Egypt National Bank of Egypt 1 Pound 5.1.1899 Pick 2b PCGS Very Fine 30.
Simply an incredible offering, and one of the most famous banknotes of the 19th century. Beautifully designed and printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Company with two camels at front, this type is seldom offered in any grade. Many banknotes from the region are found with fragile paper, splits and tears, and notations. On the contrary, this note is free of any problems. Crisp paper is easily noted, along with bright and bold colors. There is no finer note graded in the PMG Population Report at the time of cataloging. An iconic note, with the first date of the entire National Bank of Egypt series.
