    Description

Cuba Empresa del Acueductor de Cardenas 3 Pesos ND (1870) Pick S112r Remainder PMG About Uncirculated 50.
The name of the issuer translates to the Aqueduct Company of Cardenas, located in one of the smaller cities in Cuba. During Cuba's economic history from the Spanish Empire to the Republic, there has always been an official government or central bank, given the size of the economy. There were also, however, small change substitutes, like this example. There were no Private Bank issues known. For this reason, this is the only Pick variety in the Specialized Krause edition. It is the top graded example on the PMG census of only 3 graded. Scarce in higher grade.
