    Early Commonwealth material is difficult to locate in nearly any condition. While many survivors are barely Very Fine in grade, solid examples with bold paper, colors, and originality attract a lot of attention. Any advanced collector looking to procure this early issue should consider this beautiful note. Some folds and crinkling are responsible for the grade, and with the complete lack of any soiling it is likely this piece saw very little actual circulation. Each of the design elements is bold and colorful, set against bright and attractive paper. The HALF SOVEREIGN overprints are still cherry red. The back design is bathed in color with the central vignette of Goulburn Weir as bold as one will find on a circulated grade.
