DescriptionTurkey Ministry of Finance 1000 Livres 1926 Pick 125s Specimen PMG Choice Uncirculated 64.
The highest denomination of the first series issued by the new Turkish Republic featuring Ataturk. All embossing and arabesque details are excellent on this Thomas De La Rue designed and printed example whose oval can be seen in the bottom right corner on the back. No series or serial numbers are seen, with a single punch over the signature. A wonderful Specimen which allows the collector to enjoy every fine detail as perfect as the day the note was printed. The last example we sold in the same grade realized just over $5,000.
