    Description

    Revolutionary War, 1782, Connecticut Bond Issued to Finance the War. Payable in pound sterling and issued to soldiers who served in the Connecticut Line of the Continental Army. The soldier would hold this bond for several years and would receive interest on an annual basis. The interest paid is noted yearly on the back of the bond. Finally, the principal of the bond was paid and was neatly hole canceled. These bonds were payable in gold or silver and is in particularly nice condition.
