    Hibernia Consolidated Mining Company (New York)
    A 100 share certificate issued in 1881 to finance a mining venture located in Lake County, Colorado. There is an unusual and especially attractive vignette of a stage in rugged country. In keeping with the ethnic theme of the company the certificate is issued to one William Calahan. Green and black. Uncancelled and Extremely Fine. A great Colorado related mining stock. It should be noted that William Calahan was also an investor in the Girard Gold and Silver Mining Company shares offered above, as his name appears on that stock, as well. Apparently his hopes for riches in the mining business went unrewarded as both this and the Girard stock come to the collecting fraternity without having been redeemed and cancelled.
