Description

Horatio Hathaway - Hathaway Manufacturing Company (Massachusetts)
This 1926 certificate for nine shares is engraved in green and black and signed as President by Horatio Hathaway. This is a forerunner company of the Berkshire Hathaway holding company controlled by Warren Buffett. Originally purely a textile business, the Hathaway name remains closely associated with quality men's clothing. This is a rare certificate and signature, although there are pen cancellations through Hathaway's Presidential signature. Very Fine.
