Extremely Rare 1884 2nd Issue in Choice Very Fine Grade

Spain Banco de Espana 50 Pesetas - Madrid 1.10.1886 Pick 35 PMG Choice Very Fine 35.
A handsome and extremely rare denomination in the famed Second Issue of 1884. At the time of cataloging, this note is the lone example in the PMG Population Report. The last sales record for this Pick number occurred in 2016, when a raw Fine sold for $4,461.57. This vastly superior example has fresh paper and vivid colors, lending to an impressive eye appeal. PMG mentions repairs on the back of the third party, which are executed tastefully. A classic 19th century rarity.
