H(enry) Morgenthau Jr. Courtesy Autograph Low Serial 00000015 Fr. 2300 $1 1935A Hawaii Silver Certificate. PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ.A beautiful low serial number, Gem note with a personalized and dated courtesy autograph of Secretary of the Treasury Henry Morgenthau Jr. The note's recipient was William P. Helm (1883-1958). Mr. Helm was the author of Harry Truman: A Political Biography and The Washington Swindle Sheet. He also worked as a newspaper correspondent for the Associated Press, the Newark Morning Star, and the Chattanooga Times. A unique item, it has remained in the Helm family for the last 68 years. This $1 Hawaii note with serial number C00000015C is the lowest serial from the C-C block that we have offered.
