Notes. Changeover Pair. PCGS Choice About New 55PPQ.This is perhaps the ultimate changeover pair, with both of these notes being rare as singles, especially in this grade, but being previously unknown as a changeover pair. To date, PMG has graded only five $20 Hawaii Mule stars, with none higher than EF 45, while PCGS has graded five as well, with only the example offered here grading higher than Very Fine 35. Although not quite as rare, the Choice About New 55PPQ 1934A Hawaii is very scarce as well, as only one piece has been graded higher than 55PPQ by PCGS along with two higher by PMG. With no basis for comparison, we are in uncharted ground here, but we suspect our estimate will prove conservative by the time the hammer falls on this lot tonight.
