Fr. 2300 $1 1935A Hawaii Silver Certificates. Sixteen Examples.
A grouping won at a poker game on Taratupa with some of the players being Lester, Christy, Tinker, Virgil, Happy, Willy, and Ensign Parker. We see edge wear and staining on a few notes. One note has a tape repair on the back. A "Harold Brignadilto" signed the back of one of these notes. He was someone who had the misfortune of playing poker with McHale's cutthroats. When reporting the loss to Lieutenant Carpenter and Captain Binghamton, the captain exclaimed in a defeated voice, "Why me? Why is it always me? I could just scream." Very Good or better. (Total: 16 notes)
