    Description

Fr. 1700 1933 $10 Silver Certificate. Very Fine.
The key to the $10 Silvers and a note which is in considerable demand in all grades. This piece, from the Steele collection, is a mid-grade circulated example which has in the past been called Extremely Fine. In our opinion, the surfaces are a bit soft, and a grade of Very Fine is more appropriate. Our estimate here might well prove conservative on this difficult to obtain item.
From New York collector dealer Marvin R. Levine in 1985.
