DescriptionLow Serial Number 30 Fr. 1607 $1 1935 Silver Certificate. C-B Experimental. PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ.
The Fr. 1607s were part of an experiment to test the durability and surface characteristics of a new type of paper that would potentially be utilized to print currency. The results were inconclusive, and as such we have examples like this low serial number 30 from the C-B block. Quite attractive for the grade and an interesting tidbit of history.
