    Fifth Reported 1934 Philadelphia $10000

Fr. 2231-C $10000 1934 Federal Reserve Note. PCGS Apparent About New 50.
A very scarce district for high denomination notes to be sure with this just the fifth example to surface in recent years. A lovely note which faces up well within the holder but displays some margin repairs as mentioned by PCGS. Serial number
C00000101A is printed on this piece in the darker green ink tint of the period. The last appearance of a Philadelphia district $10,000 note with us was a Light Green Seal in Fine which realized $46,000 as part of our auction of the Taylor Family Collection. This piece certainly displays more eye appeal than that example and with the renewed interest in the acquisition of high denomination notes we fully expect the realization today to approach...
