Original 1928 Atlanta District $5,000 Green Seal

Fr. 2220-F $5,000 1928 Federal Reserve Note. PMG Very Fine 30 EPQ.
A bright and original 1928 Atlanta district $5,000 FRN that bears the rarely seen modifier of EPQ for these sought after notes. Fewer than 20 examples are known across all districts for the series making them multiple times scarcer than their 1934 counterparts. Earlier this year in our Central States auction in Schaumburg we sold the serial number 77 example for the same Friedberg number in a PMG 35 with "Minor Restoration" comment for $156,000. Substantial value consideration will be given this piece for being problem free, original, and with deep embossing present. We would not be surprised to see this note possibly approach the higher end of our estimate.
