Tied for Finest Graded 1928 Dallas $1,000

Fr. 2210-K $1,000 1928 Federal Reserve Note. PCGS Gem New 65PPQ.
Over a decade ago, a few very high grade and incredible 1928 Dallas $1,000s surfaced. The proximity of their serial numbers leaned towards a small run, but none have surfaced since, indicating their only relation was being somewhat close. Uncirculated examples of this note have sold for over five figures in all but one appearance since 2002, an incredible record given how much prices have advanced for most paper money in that time. As a coveted Gem, this fully margined and well-embossed piece bearing serial number K00001721A is a perfect contender for a registry set, as no finer examples have been graded.
