    Description

    Highest PMG Grade Chicago 1928 $1,000

    Fr. 2210-G $1,000 1928 Federal Reserve Note. PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ.
    The highest PMG grade bestowed upon this example and just two others of this Friedberg number is 66 EPQ. Upon further analysis of the PMG statistics, we also see that for all twelve districts of the 1928 Series, PMG has graded a mere eight equal with none higher of the $1,000 denomination. Observed traits of the note in this lot are dark inks, white paper, and original paper surfaces that include punch through embossing of a couple of the characters of the left serial number. This note last traded hands almost twelve years ago and now is available once again to a new generation of collectors.

    Estimate: $12,500 - $17,500.
