    Lightly Handled 1928 Boston $1,000

    Fr. 2210-A $1,000 1928 Federal Reserve Note. PCGS Banknote Choice AU 58 Details.
    This is a new serial number and a new high grade for Track & Price for Fr. 2210-A. The population currently stands at 45 serial numbers accounted for, with the highest grade being PMG About Uncirculated 50. That AU 50 piece realized $9,900 in August, 2019. Tonight's offering is eight grade points higher and possesses four ample margins, dark inks, and white paper. Minor restoration is cited on the back label, and we agree that it is certainly minor. Look for this $1,000 to hammer above the figure for the AU August, 2019 note.

    Estimate: $10,000 - $15,000.
