    Description

Fr. 252 $2 1899 Silver Certificate Courtesy Autograph PCGS Choice About New 58PPQ.
This 1899 Deuce is signed at the left by William T. Vernon on three lines above his engraved signature. The signature reads, "W.T. Vernon _ Register of the Treas. _ 1906-1911." Vernon is one of the rarest of all Courtesy Autographs, and we cannot recall ever handling or even seeing a Vernon signature on a note bearing his printed signature. The host note is a lovely high-end AU, with good paper originality and perfect color.
