    Description

    Tappahannock, VA- Rappahannock Bank $5 18__ Remainder G2a J-L BT05-05 PMG About Uncirculated 53.
The bank was organized, but never opened. Sheets of its unissued notes were later used to print City of Richmond Civil War era fractional scrip notes in 1862. Fortunately, sometime during the last 160 or so years, someone decided to cut a sheet of Richmond notes in such a way that a complete Rappahannock Bank note would result. Whoever did this one did a pretty good job.
