    Scottsville, VA- Bank of Scottsville $50 Aug. 15, 1861 G26a J-L BS15-40 PMG Choice Fine 15.
The bank introduced a $50 printed by Hoyer & Ludwig during the summer of 1861. The design is quite reminiscent of the work that the firm did for the Commonwealth when the first issue of notes was designed. It featured vignettes that were used on CSA treasury notes and made use of blue colored design elements to great effect. PMG notes a tape repair in the bottom right corner and paper thins in the other three corners due to previous mounting. Very Rare and seldom offered.
