    Description

    Richmond, VA- George R. Blacklock 25¢ Jan. 1, 1862
While the issuer was known to Jones / Littlefield, this denomination was not. The layout, however, is virtually identical to the listed 50¢ denomination (PR60-075). Apparently Blacklock was a tobacconist. While in completely intact Very Good condition, whoever trimmed the note from the sheet it was part of did not cover themselves in glory as the bottom trim goes into the design on the left end. Nevertheless a nice new Richmond merchant addition.
