Scarce Virginia $1 Treasury Note Sheet

    Richmond, VA- Commonwealth of Virginia $1-$1-$1-$1 July 21, 1862 Cr. 17-Cr. 17-Cr. 17-Cr. 17
At the time Hugh Shull's southern states book was published in 2007, he knew of no Virginia (state note) uncut sheets. This sheet of four Cr. 17 Commonwealth $1s finally breaks the ice. Individually the notes are quite common, as a sheet they are an extreme rarity. PMG grades this sheet Very Fine 25 Net due to a small body tear in the bottom note in the upper right counter.
