    Petersburg, VA- Petersburg Savings Bank $1 Oct. 1, 1861 Jones-Littlefield BP35-05 Very Good-Fine.
The bank was authorized by the General Assembly in 1836 and while its ultimate fate is at present unknown it is unlikely that it survived by long the end of the war. This is a very rare note, with Jones estimating a surviving population of perhaps 2-4 notes. This is a pleasing evenly circulated note that has avoided repairs or any meaningful impairments, with just a couple of tiny edge nicks and tiny body or pinholes noted
