    Description

Woodstock, VT- Vermont State Bank Office of Discount & Deposit $1-$1-$2-$3 G166-G166-G173-G177 Uncut Remainder Sheet
This uncut sheet is from the Vermont State Bank location in Woodstock, and this branch bank was believed to be unknown. The design, almost universally used throughout New England at the time, is the Perkins Plate or "Patent Stereotype Steel Plate." Eventually, counterfeiters were able to create notes close enough that this approach fell out of favor. This uncut sheet grades Very Fine, with a tape-repaired edge tear in the top margin just touching the frame line of the top note.
