    Velasco, TX - Republic of Texas Treasury Warrant $425.10 June 5, 1836 Cr. V1a Medlar 2
    A very rare early handwritten warrant, issued in Velasco while this community served as the infant Republic's capital, issued to one William P. Huff. Signed by both Asa Brigham (signer of the Texas Declaration of Independence, first Treasurer of the Republic of Texas, and mayor of Austin) as Auditor and H.C. Hudson as "Controller." Very Fine+, pen cancelled, and likely to easily reach or exceed our estimate.
