Lebanon, TN- Bank of Middle Tennessee $10 as G10a as Garland G512 Proof PMG Choice Uncirculated 64; PMG Choice Uncirculated 63.
This $10, which features a large vignette of livestock being watered, an oval male portrait, and the state comptroller die, was envisioned as being for use during the period when the bank was a Free Bank. The face proof is printed on India paper mounted on cardstock with the usual POCs in the signature lines. The back proof has an intricate red denominational design and is also printed on India paper mounted on cardstock. It was used on the chartered bank (later) issues. There were two pairs of $10 face and back proofs for this design as part of Lot 1895 in the 1990 ABNCo Archives sale. (Total: 2 notes)
