    Ceres ascends to the heavens on this note. This bank was organized in 1854. It failed in 1859 with its assets being purchased by a Des Moines, Iowa banking firm. R.C. Hamill served as president and William M. Couche was the cashier. This $5 is an evenly circulated and uncancelled Very Good.
