    North Providence, RI- Slater Bank $10 Jan. 1, 1861 G8b Durand 866
    Notes from this rare bank are among the most attractive of the Rhode Island Obsoletes. Nearly all were redeemed by the successor Slater National Bank of Pawtucket. A custom view of Pawtucket Falls and mills with the bridge over the river and buildings on each side is flanked by vibrant green "X" protectors. A portrait of Samuel Slater is at the lower left. At present, only one other issued example (from the Eric P. Newman collection) is known. PCGS Very Fine 30 noting pinholes.
