Philadelphia, PA- Schuylkill Bank $1000 18__ UNL Proof PMG Choice Uncirculated 63.
The bank was organized in 1814 and remained in business until failing in 1838 (some sources Indicate 1839). Neither Haxby nor Hoober were aware of any denomination even remotely close to this $1000 printed by FDU that includes several medallion-like cameo heads and a vignette of Ceres and a sailor seated next to, perhaps, America. PMG notes minor evidence of previous mounting. With only one public appearance that we are aware of in the last decade, it is likely that this note is unique or nearly so.

    Estimate: $700 - $1,200.
