    Description

Paterson, NJ- Cataract City Bank $3 Nov. 18, 1856 G6d
Full margins frame this vividly colored obsolete. As with the $1, the design elements are printed half in red and half in black with the main vignette slightly left of center portraying an Indian family pointing at the encroaching industrialization. A lone pinhole may have been all that prevented this otherwise stunning and perfectly original piece from receiving and EPQ descriptor and a full Gem grade. PMG Choice Uncirculated 64.
